AIDCO Company established in Zahle, Lebanon in 1981. It opened a workshop in the industrial city to manufacture agricultural equipment. This craft was inherited from our father Georges Khamis who had worked in manufacturing agricultural equipment for more than 60 years.
In 1991 AIDCO constructed a new big factory and started the development in manufacturing the agricultural equipment.
In 1994 AIDCO opened a commercial site at Zahle high way. This site is a show room to sell agricultural tools and equipment in which some of them were produced by AIDCO and some were imported from Italy, Germany, France, and other countries.
So far AIDCO is following up the agriculture in Lebanon, offering the state-of -art tools, and counseling the farmers to minimize the production cost by mechanizing their agricultural production.
After a long and close contract with the Lebanese farmers in the Bekaa Valley, AIDCO found that planting forage is not available in the correct way. It took the initiative to establish projects for planting Alfalfa, Vetch, Barley, and Corn.
In order to satisfy the demand of the Lebanese Market, AIDCO formed a big factory to pack and conserve the corn silage in air tight plastic bags. Further more, AIDCO started recently to pack 1 ton of silage bales and TMR bales. In addition, AIDCO has been exporting forage to Jordan, Kuwait, Dubai, and Cyprus since the year 2000.
AIDCO is also coordinating and cooperating with the French Company ICS, in consulting and managing agricultural projects in Egypt, Sudan, KSA, and Jordan.
